I’m frankly so nervous to start this. I’ve been formulating a sentence for this post for days now and if I can’t get it right after a bajillion attempts, I won’t get it right this time around. So, welcome to this crazy town in a pretty nutshell that we call “For You, From Me”.
To start off, I’ll give you a little background on the author behind this budding blog. My name is Hannah, I just began my twenties this year, and I live in a small town in Colorado (in the US of A). I live with my fiance, we’re getting married this September (eeeeeekkkkk!!!!) and we have our little fur-family to warm up our happy little lives. We have a year and a half old Corgi/ Blue Heeler mix, Timon, and our adult cat, Kitty. She was originally named Ms. Steele (yes, before you ask, yes the name is from Fifty Shades of Grey. It’s a longggg story!)
I’ve always had a soul-deep passion for reading and writing. All throughout school, I took EVERY SINGLE literature class offered. Growing up in a small town, it wasn’t many. Those were the only classes that I actually paid attention in and was driven to learn and absorb as much knowledge possible. I even looked forward to the red pen marks so I could make my work even better. In every other classes, I couldn’t keep my eyes out of my notebook or book, even if you paid me.
All my life, when asked the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I’d always say, “I want to create a book”. I want to create a novel that inspires other youth to pursue the rewarding field of literature. I realize, as an aspiring author, the field is competitive and ruthless, but who cares? I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to do, enjoying it thoroughly, and all the fame and money would add is just a pretty pink bow on top. And what good are bows?
“For You, From Me” will be a portfolio of some of my work, pieces I’ll nervously hand over to the World Wide Web, my inspirations, book reviews, tips, ramblings, and personal updates. Please don’t hesitate to leave comments on books you want me to read, constructive criticism, or just to leave a greeting. 🙂 I always love talking with anyone that would even think to leave me a comment. ❤
Welcome to my happy place and I cannot wait to start talking with you. Until next time, friend!
